In light of the Communion Revelation I received, I have started to make a recipe for cookies which I intend to refine until its perfect. This is it as of July 2nd, 2024:
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Beat in the egg until fully incorporated. Mix in the vanilla extract and almond extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This helps prevent spreading and makes the dough easier to handle.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll into ball and then flatten to desired shape and width and place them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Then impress them with the image of Asherah; I am using this stamp.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. The centers should be set but not browned.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
