Cookies for the Queen of Heaven

In light of the Communion Revelation I received, I have started to make a recipe for cookies which I intend to refine until its perfect. This is it as of July 2nd, 2024:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Beat in the egg until fully incorporated. Mix in the vanilla extract and almond extract until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  4. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This helps prevent spreading and makes the dough easier to handle.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Roll into ball and then flatten to desired shape and width and place them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Then impress them with the image of Asherah; I am using this stamp.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. The centers should be set but not browned.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
