To preface, I don’t think the myth of the gold plates. I think its entirely possible that a a prop made out of tin was created (/u/LeadingWorldly made a post showing what it would look like)
I see lots and lots of descriptions about dimensions and thickness of plates, but I haven’t seen a citation for how many plates were actually reportedly in it.
Does anyone else know?
