Entheogenic Sacramental Blessing

I wrote “The Book of the Sacred Assembly”, which is a ceremony to help facilitate a positive spiritual experience with entheogens and is deeply rooted within the Restoration. The transcript of the ceremony is about 14 pages long, but there are extensive citations.

Some have wanted an easy-to-access blessing, and so this is what that post is about.

It is wise that you meet together often to partake of the Sacrament in order to connect with God. The Entheomagus will bless and administer it. They will kneel with those in attendance and call upon the Divine, saying:

Communal

“Oh God, the Eternal Creator,
we ask you to bless this Sacrament
and set it apart as sacred for all those who receive it.

May we partake of it as a way of remembering you,
and may this act serve as a testament to you,
oh God, the Eternal Creator,
that we are willing to embrace, remember, and embody your teachings.

May we always have your Spirit with us.
Amen.”

Solitude

“Oh God, the Eternal Creator,
I ask you to bless this Sacrament
and set it apart as sacred as I receive it.

I partake of it as a way of remembering you,
and may this act serve as a testament to you,
oh God, the Eternal Creator,
that I am willing to embrace, remember, and embody your teachings.

May I always have your Spirit with me.
Amen.”

RLDS Moroni 4-5 and LDS Moroni 45:

“The manner of their elders and priests administering the flesh and blood of Christ to the church: They administered it according to the commandments of Christ; wherefore we know the manner to be true, and the elder or priest administered it: And they knelt down with the church and prayed to the Father in the name of Christ, saying:

‘O God, the eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it, that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God the eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him, and keep his commandments which he has given them, that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.’

The manner of administering the wine: Behold, they took the cup, and said:

‘O God, the eternal Father, we ask thee, in the name of thy Son Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this wine to the souls of all those who drink of it, that they may do it in remembrance of the blood of thy Son which was shed for them, that they may witness unto thee, O God, the eternal Father, that they do always remember him, that they may have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.'”

Revelation given June 9th, 1830, commonly known as “The Articles and Covenants of the Church” (RLDS D&C 17:22-23 and LDS D&C 20:75-79)

“It is expedient that the church meet together often to partake of bread and wine in remembrance of the Lord Jesus; and the elder or priest shall administer it; and after this manner shall he administer it: He shall kneel with the church and call upon the Father in solemn prayer, saying,

‘O God, the eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it, that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him and keep his commandments which he has given them, that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.’

The manner of administering the wine: He shall take the cup also, and say:

‘O God, the eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this wine to the souls of all those who drink of it, that they may do it in remembrance of the blood of thy Son which was shed for them, that they may witness unto thee, O God, the eternal Father, that they do always remember him, that they may have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.'”
